Anyway...when mamarazzi loves to take photos....I love to cook..(but I'm lazy sometimes...wohooooooo~~+_+~~)
Ok,straight to the point. This recipe is actually I learned from chinese newspaper long time ago..and don't ask me why the name is such like that. Ok,let's get started!
PHILLIPINES SANDWICH
INGREDIENTS
27 pieces cream crackers
6 eggs (AA size is preferrable)
1 can ideal milk
sugar,to taste
1 can luncheon meat (I usually use pork one), diced
onions,diced
green capsicum,diced
carrot,diced
sweet corn (canned type)
pepper,to taste
METHODS
1. Saute onions until fragrant. Then, mix along the capsicum and carrots into the wok. Then, sweet corns, following by the luncheon meat. Then, pepper,to taste. This is your filling for the sandwiches.
2. In a big bowl, mix eggs that is lightly beaten with sugar and ideal milk. You should get something like this. this would be your supporting base for the sandwiches.
3. Lightly grease your steaming container (I use aluminium square-shapped container).
4. Start fill up your container by dunking your cream crackers into the egg-milk mixture, one by one.Just slightly dunk it and straightly put into your container.Lay 9 pieces as your base. Don't let your crackers become too soft or you'll be in trouble in taking out the crackers.
5. Lay your fillings (half only) and spread it out throughly and even. After that, repeat step 4 and using the same amount of cream crackers, lay them just like this:
6. Lay your left-out fillings and spread it even. Then, repeat again step 4. but now, you'll cover the sandwiches already. After you cover it, pour the egg-milk mixture and it will become like this:
7. Steam the sandwich for 30 minutes or until the egg mixture hardens.
8. Then, tadaaaaa!!!~~~~~Can eat looorrr!!!~~~~~~But make sure you cut first before you eat!!!~~Enjoy!!~~
Notes:
1. can use red and yellow capsicums too to add more aroma.
2. milk used should be 1 1/2 cans, but to save time and cost,we usually use a can instead.
3. if don't have capsicums, simply substitute with mixed vegetables (frozen-type).
